We've been following the story of the killing months ago of Joseph Boever by a distracted driver, South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.
For Thursday's Sioux Falls Argus Leader, Jonathan Ellis reports in Noem: States attorneys investigating Ravnsborg incident giving her 'no answers':
Gov. Kristi Noem said Thursday that a group of states attorneys who have been handling the investigation into a fatal accident involving Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg have not responded to her administration's request for the status of the investigation.
"We make inquiries on a regular basis and have gotten no answers," Noem said during a press conference in which the Argus Leader asked about the Sept. 12 accident that resulted in the death of Joseph Boever.
Noem added that it was a "grave disservice" to Boever's family, echoing comments she made a month ago about a lack of action in the matter. She said she was "disappointed" and hoped the state's attorneys, led by Hyde County Deputy State Attorney Emily Sovell, would quickly conclude their investigation. Sovell has refused to communicate with the media about the investigation. . . .
