We've been looking for updates on budget negotiations, and Minneapolis DFL state representative Sydney Jordan provided the goods on twitter in the most delightful way.
Here's our agreement. You can see where the House and Senate started with our omnibus bills and where we were able to find common ground in the end. https://t.co/S6DZliGRAw#mnleg

For the bill language:
Posted the spreadsheet above but here's the actual bill language for those document loving souls: https://t.co/ml9DATpvb6

Some highlights:
As we grapple with the discovery of mass graves at the Kamloops residential school, it's clear that the state of Minnesota must do more to acknowledge the harm we've done and lift up stories about Natives- both the pain and the joy. Legacy funding does that. We can do more.

I was honored to carry funding for projects the @humanities Center is working on: Veteran Voices and Native Nations of Minnesota. They work to empower these communities to tell their own stories. Why Treaties Matter is an exhibit that everyone should see https://t.co/NuUDBCAwdi

That last one struck a personal chord. One section of the online exhibit, A Dakota Trading Kinship Group, includes Mike's great-father, Charles Crawford, and his great-great grandmother, Abigail (Winona) Crawford.
Read the entire thread about Legacy-funded projects from Forever Green to the Outdoor Heritage Fund to parks and trails.
Photo: Jordan tweeted with this picture: "When you’re out hiking or playing in a park across the state and see a sign like this, thank a fellow Minnesotan! That’s because we’re all funding parks and trails with our sales tax that ends up in this bill!" Cropped for format.
