We've been posting about the ignorance, antisemitism, and racism that mark the candidacy of the Republican endorsee for Secretary of State, Kim Crockett.
Retired Gustavus Adolphus College math and computer science professor turned elections expert Max Hailperin pointed out another example of Crockett's basic misunderstanding of voting, via Twitter:
Let me strengthen this. Not only is it not true in *every* city, it isn't true in *most* cities in Minnesota. I don't have the exact numbers, but based on 2020 data, I'm sure she's wrong in the majority of cities. And by the way, exceptions in 2022 include at least the 3 largest. https://t.co/5F7WlcgwIc

The last place I lived in Minnesota was in Big Stone County. I moved to Ortonville in 2017. Had I stayed in Minnesota, I'd have voted in Ortonville for the 2020 elections.
I shared the instructions on where to vote in 2020 in a reply to Hailperin on Twitter:
Right on, Max. Here are the 2020 voting places in sunny Ortonville, MN, in Big Stone County, as an example. The author is the Community Development Coordinator at City of Ortonville & a GOP activist.https://t.co/vmrmsIFsZr

It's not a question of right or left here. It's right or wrong.
UPDATE: The ever civic-minded Hailperin looked up the Alpha News staffer's polling place in Rochester, providing some helpful insights:
So, Kyle Hooten of @AlphaNewsMN, if you're willing to take my advice over that of a candidate for Secretary of State, please save yourself a wasted trip to Rochester city hall. You want to head over to Olmsted County Elections, 2122 Campus Dr SE, Suite 300.
