UPDATE 11/18/2022: Jennifer Carnahan has told Axios reporter Torrey Van Oot that she is not running for Republican Party of Minnesota, Van Oot tweeted yesterday afternoon. See embedded tweet below [end update]
Not long ago, a source in Blue Earth, Minnesota, sent us news that the home that the late Minnesota First District Congressman Jim Hagedorn shared with his wife, once State Chair of the Republican Party of Minnesota Jennifer Carnahan, was up for sale.
Real estate listings confirmed his news. There's this at Coldwell Banker Homes, where a sale is pending. This confirms the accuracy of the photo of the home at the top of this post. The ReMax sign is now topped by a "Sale Pending" bar.
UPDATE 11/18/2022: Our source in Blue Earth tells us that the For Sale sign has been removed. The MLS listing for the property (#6273841) is still in the database. As the MLS listing notes, the closing on the sale of the property is "Proj Close Date: 01/30/2023." A remark by the agent lower on the listing: "The sale of this home is contingent on the probate of the estate. All offers will need to have at least a 60 day closing window."
The online real estate listing services like Zillow, Realtor and Trulia also show a sale pending.[end update]
In our February 2020 post, RPM, Friends of Hagedorn confuse state & federal campaign finance reports in answering PB question about Hagedorn's residence, campaign finance records established that 222 W 8th Street, Blue Earth, Minnesota was indeed the address.
Our source had also seen the Hagedorns at this address. It's the residence Carnahan used during her unsuccessful bid to fill her husband's congressional seat death from cancer last winter.
We'd wondered back in May when she was knocked out in the special election primary: Will Carnahan's lackluster showing in Blue Earth home base close curtains on her political career?
Apparently not. Former Republican deputy chair tweeted on Monday:
NEW: Former @MNGOP Chair Jennifer Carnahan has requested the list of party activists to run for chair again at the @MNGOP State Central Committee meeting on December 3rd in St. Cloud, according to sources. Current @MNGOP Chair @davidhann is seeking re-election. More updates soon.

We're curious about the location of her new home base. And whether the Republican Party of Minnesota is truly in recovery from Carnahan's last reign.
UPDATE:
Carnahan, who was traveling abroad over the last month, said she's been focused on grieving process following the death of her husband, late Rep. Hagedorn, and working on new initiatives for next year.
