Beginning at 9:30 Monday morning, I'll be watching the House Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee's informational hearing described in the media advisory below:
On Monday, October 23, at 9:30 AM, the House Environment and Natural Resources Committee will hold an informational hearing to hear updates from various departments on ongoing programs. The committee will hear an update on the spread of Chronic Wasting Disease in the deer population from Dr. Peter Larsen and Dr. Michael Osterholm from the University of Minnesota Center for Prion Research and Outreach (MNPRO) as well as representatives from the Department of Natural Resources and the Board of Animal Health.
The committee will also hear updates from state agencies on the implementation of: Inflow and Infiltration grants (Metropolitan Council); Climate Resiliency grants and Cumulative Impacts (MPCA); Emerald Ash Borer grants and Neonicotinoids in Wildlife (DNR); and Water Storage and Lawns to Legumes (BWSR).
