This line caught my eye:
“Duran, who served on the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, started his quest for a search warrant after two other deputies stopped a vehicle on a rural road near Park Rapids in late December 2022 for going 33 mph in a 30-mph zone.”

A three mph differential is often barely noticed by drivers as not all speedometers are calibrated the same. Honestly how many of us have driven 35 in a 30 and have never been pulled over when encountering law enforcement,, especially in a rural area?
