Bluestem Prairie has long been concerned about native pollinator populations in Minnesota and Northeast South Dakota.
In Tuesday's email, I received notice of the MN Environment Quality Board's latest publication:
We are happy to announce that the 2024 Minnesota State Agency Pollinator Report is now available! The interagency pollinator protection team updated the scorecards to communicate the progress we are making toward our pollinator protection goals. Additionally, the report includes pollinator-related action highlights from state agencies, and a section on new findings from pollinator-related research.

Dasly, not all of the findings are positive for the Minnesota State Bee, the Rusty Patched Bumblebee, Monarch butterflies, and the Dakota skipper butterfly (which still survives here on the Lake Traverse Reservation).
